As the Dukes prepares to throw open the doors to our Pub season, we’d love to hear your stories of pub life; the people, places, memories and pictures. A celebration of all of those things that come together to make up the great British pub tradition.

Are there any characters, past or present, that you think should be celebrated? From grumpy landlords and flirty bar-staff  to the regulars propping up the bar on a rainy afternoon, we want to hear about them in all their colourful detail.

Perhaps you met your partner in a local pub, a chance encounter, your eyes meeting across a crowded room? Or you’ve fond recollections of a stolen kiss in the back bar? Here’s your chance to share those memories and celebrate the romantic potential of a lively Northern pub.

Feel free to comment on here with your stories and we’ll add them, or even discuss other people’s memories.

Comment on this blog, send in your stories, e-mail your memories & photos to marketing@dukes-lancaster.org or come in person to the Dukes and add to the display yourself.

Join us in raising a glass to the Dukes on our 40th Birthday and to the spirit of the great Northern pub.
